About this game
A Mimicry of Life is a pixel-art horror RPG with a strong interactive fiction streak, played from a top-down view. The year is 2057, and you are part of a research team of geologists and specialists from other fields, sent to the North Pole to examine a strange asteroid that crashed there.
Nothing about the camp feels quite right. A few of your colleagues act oddly, the usual signs of violence are missing, and when you try to recall your life before the expedition, the memories come out blurry. You walk around, talk to the people you share the camp with, and look at everything you can reach, piecing together what is really happening out in the ice.
The game leans on curiosity and unease rather than fast reflexes. It runs free in your browser, ready whenever you want a moody mystery. If you like stories that keep asking uncomfortable questions, this one is worth a look.
How to play
Move with the arrow keys and hold Shift to sprint. Press Z or Enter to talk to people and interact with objects. Press X to pause. The game is played with a keyboard.
