About this game
Ashen Watch is an action-heavy castle defense game with a roguelike twist. Princess Elira has taken refuge in the last fortress of her kingdom, and the siege outside never lets up. You play her guardian, holding the walls against one wave of attackers after another.
Your hero strikes nearby enemies on its own, so the real skill lies in positioning, dodging at the right moment and timing your special abilities. Eight enemy types and several heavy-hitting bosses will test you. After each wave you pick a new perk, such as a volley of arrows, chain lightning, a burning blade or a dodge roll, and those choices shape how every run plays out.
Coins earned in combat go toward permanent upgrades and new armor skins, so even a failed defense moves you forward. The story runs across 20 waves, with a boss fight and a fresh cinematic scene every fifth wave. The question is how long you can keep the last line standing.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or hold the mouse button on the battlefield to walk in that direction. On mobile, drag your finger across the screen. The guardian attacks nearby enemies automatically. Once unlocked, Space triggers Storm Strike and Q uses Flaming Blade.
