About this game
Cosmic Hunt is a space-themed word search game that you can play for free right in your browser. Your goal is to drag across a grid of letters and uncover words hidden in every direction, whether horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. The game is split into eight categories, ranging from distant planets and glowing stars to legendary astronauts and modern space technology, so the vocabulary keeps changing as you progress.
You can choose how much pressure you want. Normal Mode gives you room to take your time and search carefully, while Hard Mode turns every search into a race against the clock. When the puzzles get stubborn, hints are there to nudge you forward. Climbing the leaderboard and trying to beat your own best score adds a competitive edge to what is otherwise a relaxing puzzle.
The rules take only a moment to learn, but the search can be surprisingly addictive. It is easy to tell yourself you will stop after one more grid and then find an hour has passed. Start a session and see how many cosmic words you can track down.
How to play
Click and drag across the letter grid from the first letter of a word to its last, or swipe with your finger on mobile. Words can run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. In Hard Mode you compete against the timer, and you can use the hint button when a word is hard to spot.
