About this game
Double Dragon: Broken District is a side-scrolling martial arts adventure told across four missions. After your dojo burns down, you pick either Mina or Ken and set out to find your missing trainer, with an AI-controlled sibling fighting alongside you. The focus is on satisfying close-quarters combat: you can chain punches and kicks into combos, read enemy windups to dodge at the right moment, and throw opponents across the street.
The level of detail goes beyond basic brawling. Weapons like staffs can be picked up mid-fight, and when the timing is right you can unleash Twin Spirit attacks for a powerful finish. The retro pixel art and gritty street atmosphere give it the feel of a classic beat-em-up, while the single-player campaign lets you work through the story at your own pace.
You can play it in a browser or on a phone, with keyboard controls on desktop and touch controls on mobile. Its short, punchy sessions make it easy to jump in for a few fights, and the four-mission structure rewards those who want to see the story through.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys. Press J to punch, K to kick, and L to grab, throw, or pick up items. Space jumps, and Shift dodges. On mobile, use the movement stick on the left and the Hit, Kick, Grab, Jump, Dodge, Twin, and Swap buttons on the right.
