About this game
Hellforge: Demon Protocol is a side-scrolling run-and-gun shooter set across 20 grimy industrial missions. You play a lone fighter pushing through patrol soldiers, shield troops, gatling brutes, mechanical hounds and frenzied berserkers, with the challenge climbing steadily from one level to the next.
The environment fights back too. Sixteen kinds of traps litter the stages, and some guard hidden pickups worth the detour. Along the way you gather six weapons, armor, grenades and shields, but only two weapons fit in your loadout at once, so every swap is a decision. Each of the ten bosses reappears as an elite enemy in later stages, which means beating one is never the end of that story.
You get three lives and checkpoints, and a well-timed dodge can save you from a bad situation. It runs in the browser and is free to play, with touch controls on phones.
