About this game

Katana Zero: Borrowed Seconds is a side-scrolling action platformer that follows Rei, an assassin moving through a neon-soaked city. Each level is built from carefully designed rooms, and your job is to cut down enemies with your katana, deflect incoming bullets back at their shooters, and dash past deadly traps.
What sets the game apart is its ability to slow time. When a situation looks overwhelming, you can freeze the pace and map out your next move before committing. Quick restarts after failure keep the trial-and-error loop moving, so each attempt feels like a small lesson rather than a setback.
The story is dark and the rhythm is fast, but the pacing rewards patience as much as reflexes. Short stages make it easy to pick up for a few minutes or sink into a longer session. It is a good fit for anyone who enjoys precise action games where thinking ahead matters as much as fast hands.

How to play

Use the left and right arrows or A and D to move, and Space or W to jump. Left click slashes, and it also reflects bullets back at enemies. Right click or K dashes, and holding L or Q slows time. On mobile, use the on-screen Left, Right, Time, Dash, Jump and Slash buttons.
